No problem importing it here. You need to have an image open to import a macro. I'll need some time to evaluate it Thanks Seth.

I agree Graham. While the object selection tool works really well in the Pixel Studio, it is virtually unuseable in develop mode. As you say, hopefully ot will be improved in the next upgrade.

Thanks VomUtz. I did try disabling hardware acceleration but it didn't help. the best result were with it enabled & increased RAM usage limit to the maximum. Then in the Machine Learning section setting changing the inference to best efficiency. Still a bit hit & miss though.

Thanks Dekos. Affinity suggested a factory reset of the app which helped but the mask still didn't work very well. I guesss it's probably the spec of my PC. I'll stick with object selection in the Pixel Studio,

In his latest video descibing new features in Affinity 3.1 & 3.2, James Ritson describes using an Object selection mask in the develop studio. When I tried this the application crashed.

I tried turning off video acceleration but it still crashed. I am on a PC with the latest update to Windows 11. Has anyone else tried this?. I'll submit a report to Affinity.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned in the release notes but there is a "Do Not Apply" option in the default tone curve setting in the Develop Assistant. I don't recall this option in version 3.1.

On launching Affinity Studio 3 today, I was informed that version 3.2 was available. I have downloaded & installed the Windows version but I can't see any release notes on Discord yet. Hopefully Canva will let us know the changes soon.

I have the same problem. I'm not sure if it's because I have created three custom studios which are in the first 3 positions on the interface. I'll raise this as a bug with the developers & suggest you do the same.

If you are on Affinity Studio you could try the Live Tone Group option to make the object blend in better. This video is one of a number explaining its use.

What does not work is disabling any of the 4 categories by unchecking its tickbox.

I can't get the feature to work either in Windows. Perhaps it only works for the Mac version. If anyone can confirm this I'll raise it as a bug.

For ease of use I created a custom shortcut (F12) to View>Show>Pixel Selection. I just use it to toggle the marching ants on or off.

In Windows it's under the View tab.

Good news! Just installed the update & it works fine on Windows 11.
