I have a strange effect at the moment. When I save a project in Vector or Pixel it generates a thumbnail, however when I save from layout it does not now. Anybody got any clues please? Cheers John Ok think I have solved it. When saved as a transparent document it shows blank but when I hover over the thumbnail I can just make out black text.

For future reference, when you’ve found a solution that you want to share it’s easier for others to see it if you make a separate post instead of editing your original question.

You can set the background for the thumbnails in the layers panel to checkerboard/light/dark/auto(default)
This option is in the little drop down(arrow) top right of the layers panel.
