Affinity Photo on iPad won’t show RAW files from Photos app

Collins Welcome to the CreoFora Affinity forum.

I don't use iPad with Affinity, just desktop. When I choose File > Open, "Photos" (my Apple Photo Library) is shown at the very bottom of the list the I scroll down. Clicking on Photos displays all my Apple Photos.

Hopefully, someone who uses iPad can give you more specific guidance for iPad.

Is there a filter activated in the bottom menu that is currently preventing files from being displayed?

Works for me. It may depends on other circumstances.

Which Camera / RAW file

Please try to create a album with one raw files. Check the file type using the info function (info function of image preview), provide a screenshot.

Provide a link where we can download the raw files.

Try to save image in folder, and open from folder instead of photos.

What is the raw format? It's been a minute since I used AP to work directly with raw files, but before I started using Darkroom to replace LR, I definitely remember affinity having issues with canon .cr3 and raw files in that doofy Olympus format that nothing can read properly except for the crappy olympus software

I don't have any problem in any software with the 'doofy Olympus format'!

I haven't done much work with my one remaining Oly for a while, but as of several years ago, their raw format a chore to work with in every piece of software I used. I'll bookmark this for when I pull out my TG-4 to start shooting insect macros in the spring again🙂

Weird, that should work. I can see my RAW files from several Canon cameras and iPhone RAW. They import just fine.

Currently using iPad OS v26.1, but it worked on earlier versions as well.
