Perhaps more Affinity users will move to this forum now that Discord will require a facial scan or other proof of age to use its system. Failure to provide proof of age will cause one's account to be downgraded and restricted to the status of teenager.

I've never looked at the Discord universe beyond an occasional look at the Affinity chatter every few weeks. I gather it is not a healthy venue for professionals nor for serious amateur photographers and hobbyists.

Yes, I see it exactly the same way: Affinity is dangerous for young people, so the Affinity area on Discord has to be heavily restricted.

Jokes aside: that is not a reason for anyone to move to a forum. People simply move to Adobe

I will be the first to say at first I hated it, Discord. But there are a few people every week who ask questions and I help them out. I wonder if being downgraded to a teenager will affect my ability to help those folks. Time will tell.
