How do I hide a selection in Affinity Pixel and toggle the visibility?
I often use that so simple in Affinity Photo and here it seems hidden somewhere.
I mean hiding the matching ants. They are very disturbing to me.

It is in the Layer menu, Layer > Hide > Hide and then Layer > Show > Show. Oddly there is always a check mark next to the Show/Hide items, at least here on my Mac.
I would think about setting up a keyboard shortcut for them if I used them often.

That didn't work for me.
I succeeded in another way which I at the moment can't find out how.
The information on how to do this is very bad.
I set up a keyboard shortcut. It was also tricky.
In Affinity Pixel I did it in this way:
Go to 'Affinity/Settings/Shortcuts'
In the Shortcuts menu choose 'Pixel' and 'View' in the dropdown menus.
Go to 'Show>Pixel Selection' in the dropdown window where You can assign a Shortcut in the field on the right side.
For me 'option P' worked well, not interfering with other shortcuts.
With this You can show/hide the 'marching ants' who can be quite annoying in Your work .
