Hello everyone! Has anyone already found a way to quickly create equally sized slices for carousel posts (such as the "slices from guides" feature in photoshop)? I work with lots of social media content (a few examples below), and currently the slice export system is VERY slow. I need to manually make the slices or use artboards, which isn't good because the former is slow and the latter doesn't allow for continuity between the "cards" (unless I manually duplicate every "in between" asset for each page and use clipping masks, which is very slow), and both mods require a lot of workarounds, both to create the slices but also to export with a certain naming format for that specific post.
For my projects, it needs to be all in one artboard; I just need to find a way to either split the image into equally sized slices to export or quickly make slices from my pre-set column Guides. Is there any way to do this currently in Affinity V3?

I think what you are looking for is available in Studio Slices (in versions 1 and 2 it was called Export Persona).
The video is for version 2, but the way Studio Slices works is the same.

I've looked through the Slices Studio for a while but I don't see any way of dividing an artboard into equally sized slices regardless of layers and groups (and no way to create slices from guides)

Attempted something like this in V2.6. just modified it for AS. Needed to change the BG image to a image box so it can easily be replaced
So
Create a file of full length.. ie x [n] number of sections or slices that are required. You can add multipliers into fields so [400 x 4] can be used
The trick is to nest the artboards
a. A container
b 01 | 02 | 03 | 04 = artboards stacked inside a container
c. At the base of the container i.e last image or layer or image frame..add an image that covers all the widht + height
each artboard in this case consists of a background (for added images vectors objects) and a text overlay as indicated by the numbers. You can easily edit this to what you require....Go to Slice Studio and export your slices as you choose
Hope it helps get a better understanding of what you are trying to achieve
The solution is really about how you stack the layers. Eack artboard should automatically create a slice..no guides or manual editing
