Drop Shadow in Affinity Designer for iPad

I don't use Affinity with my iPad, but it probably works similarly to the desktop version.

In the Layers Panel, select the Layer or Group to which you want to apply a drop shadow. Then Click the "FX" icon at the bottom of the Layers Panel (may be accessed differently on iPad). Select Outer Shadow in the FX Panel, and adjust the various sliders to set the opacity, radius, offset, etc.

There are other ways, but this is probably the easiest to start with.

Here is a screenshot from my iPad. With the layer selected, click the FX button on the right. Turn on Outer Shadow by sliding the on/off toggle to the right. On the left side of the screen, there are 3 vertical sliders. Note that the top two have dots at upper right. This indicates that clicking on their icons (below the sliders) will change the thing that gets modified. You can set the offset distance, the angle of offset, the radius (which affects the feathered falloff), the opacity of the effect and the intensity.

This screenshot is from the iPad version of Affinity Photo 2. Applying a drop shadow in Affinity Designer 2 for iPad is done in exactly the same way.
