V3 improvement list

    I'd like to open a thread where improvements of existing V3 behaviour V3 can be collected. Serving as an overview and possibly resolving behaviour that can be achieved in a different way.
    Please no "feature requests" in here since we all know the long lists that have been put in place for V2 already.

    Intel i7-12700KF, 3.60 GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet, Windows 11 Pro - AP, AD and APub V1, V2 and V3

    UI topics:

    - New icons are visually not as self explainig as before

    - New Icon are only monochrome (stylish, but not useful)

    - No white UI any more (despite the fact that UI grayness can be changed in the preferences)

    - Startup screen can't be disabled

    - New "New document" dialog is really confusing. Huge Icons and small long text. The previous dialog (list) was far more comprehensive and easy to navigate. At least a "List view" as before should be re-integrated

    - It got harder to access the PlugIns since they now were even more deeply nested in the menu. To overcome this it coulds be helpful to e.g be able to put single Plugins as Icons on the symbol panel.

    - The Export Panel can't save the (last) setting and always reverts back to "PNG"

    Affinity made it clear a few months ago that they would no longer be monitoring or responding on their forum (for certain now!! ;)). The previous bug reporting approach is history.

    Just my guess...

    Affinity wants you to report bugs via their online bug report form (https://support.serif.com/hc/en-us/requests/new), or directly from the v3 App (probably the best approach if using v3, see below).

    They will probably use AI algorithms to count, group, sort, prioritize and report issues to developers for fixes/improvements. So, I'm guessing the best thing to do is to report a bug, improvement or whatever personally, even if it has been reported previously. The more a given issue is reported, the higher it will probably rise on their priority list for consideration.
