New Features in Affinity Studio

  • But there are definitely some practical changes though, as epub support, image tracing, more export formats, easier quick export added, fully customizable panels and workspaces to name a few I found so far.

I spent a couple of hours looking around the new app and I found some interesting things apart from the new interface and what you posted above:

    • Mesh Gradient Fill
    • Hatch Fill tool
    • Filter Brush Tool
    • Adjustment Brush Tool
    • Glitch filter
    • Quick Adjustments Panel
    • Bloom Filter
    • Multi Band Sharpening
    • Tone Stretch and Compression
    • Ask Ritson

There is certainly more to discover. So far I am getting used to the new interface and the concept of the Studios. It seems the menu structure is fixed. After a little looking around I was able to find what I was looking for.

Affinity Studio on Windows (V3). Affinity Suite on Windows and iPad (V2). Beta testing when available.

iPad pro 9.7" + Apple Pencil

  • The interface is completely customisable - you can create multiple studios of your own containing the tools you need and use most. These can then be exported for use on different devices. This is a huge step forward.

A sophisticated blend tool and scripting are both in the pipeline, and the iPad apps should be in beta by early next year. I think we are going to see a much faster pace of development over the coming year or two, and the big plus is that new features can be rolled out as and when they are ready.

I'm now allowed to say that a bigger update is planed for spring 2026. There will be a huge amount of fixes,, some improvements and few long-awaited features.
